This
new building, located on a rural estate in Litchfield County, provides 14,000
sf of exhibition, storage, and art handling space. Conceptually, the project
consists of a stone volume, which provides two large primary galleries, and
two wood boxes clad in stained cedar, which provide additional exhibition and
viewing rooms as well as support spaces. The stone terrace will proved ample
space for sculpture and outdoor receptions.
